Originally from New Orleans, Andrew McGowan is a pianist and keyboardist who has played with many great New Orleans musicians including Jason Marsalis, Wessell Anderson, and Ed Petersen. He plays in the  modern Jazz group, The Session, and has toured the UK with them, as well as touring the U.S. extensively with The Stooges Brass Band and the Cliff Hines Quintet. He attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and was inspired to pursue musical performance by his mentors, Alvin Batiste and Michael Pellera. He currently resides in New York, New York.
